His parents, Vernon Vaughn, a salesman and character actor, and Sharon Vaughn, a real-estate agent and stockbroker, were divorced in 1991. He has two older sisters, Victoria Vaughn and Val Vaughneri, and a rich ancestry that includes Lebanese, Italian, English, Irish, German, and Scottish roots, with his mother being born in Brantford, Ontario.
Vincent's interest in theater began at an early age, and he soon landed a spot in a Chevy commercial. In 1988, he made the bold move to Hollywood, where he initially struggled to find his footing. However, he managed to secure a few television roles, but his ultimate goal was to make it big on the silver screen. His breakthrough came in 1993 with his role in the film Rudy, where he met his friend and collaborator, Jon Favreau.
