Josef Vlastimil Burian, better known as Vlasta Burian, was a renowned Czech actor, director, singer, theater director, athlete, entrepreneur, film actor, writer, mime, and imitator, born on April 9, 1891, in Liberec, and passed away on January 31, 1962, in Prague.

Throughout his illustrious career, Burian became one of the most beloved and popular actors of the First Czechoslovak Republic, with his unbridled energy and insatiable desire to be at the forefront of every performance, leading to his rise as a true star of Czech film and theater.
