Person Biography:
Wade Thomas Carpenter III was born on February 6th, 1973, in Vidalia, Georgia, also known as the "onion capital." He grew up in a small town and moved to a suburb outside Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of seven. His father, Wade Thomas Carpenter Jr., was a UDT Frogman in the Navy and later became the Southeast Regional Manager of airspace for the FAA. His mother, Sharone Carolyn Carpenter, worked and retired from the Georgia House of Representatives.
Wade's parents instilled in him and his sister, Regina, values such as ethics of courtesy, hard work, and "follow through." They emphasized the importance of believing in oneself and the principle that "telling the truth" makes life easier. Wade's parents were always there for him and reminded him to "shine brightest when we are ourselves."
Wade was a gifted student and athlete, lettering in football, baseball, golf, and wrestling. He attended Truett-McConnell College on a baseball scholarship but had to drop out after blowing out his pitching arm in his sophomore year. However, this setback taught him resilience and the ability to rise to new challenges.
Wade's passion for acting led him to drop out of college and move to Hollywood with only a credit card and $200 in his pocket. He modeled in Paris for two years and then became the in-house model for Polo in New York City. After four years, he decided to visit Hollywood, where he got invited to Elton John's Oscar party. It was at this party that he met his manager, Scott Karp, who helped him land his breakthrough role on the TV series "7th Heaven."
Wade's acting career took off, and he landed his first starring role in the USA series "Class Warfare." He also played bass in the band Operator, which was signed to a five-record deal with Atlantic Records. The band toured extensively and performed with notable acts like Cheap Trick, The Black Crows, and Velvet Revolver.
After Operator disbanded, Wade decided to pursue a new passion - barbering. He had always been interested in cutting hair and had been doing it for his teammates throughout his athletic career. He moved back to Los Angeles, started doing hair, and eventually opened his own salon.
Wade has continued to pursue his passions, releasing his own record, producing music, and getting his Jui Jitsu black belt. He has also shot commercials and films, and has remained active in the entertainment industry. Despite his many endeavors, Wade remains humble and grateful for the journey that has led him to where he is today.
