Wende Wagner, a stunning and vibrant 60s actress, was born in Connecticut in the year 1941. Her ancestry was a unique blend of French, German, and Native American heritage, which would later contribute to her exotic and captivating on-screen presence. Her athletic genes were inherited from her parents, with her father being a former Olympic swimming and diving coach who later became a Naval Commander, and her mother being a champion downhill skier.
As a free-spirited individual, Wagner's initial foray into the entertainment industry was as a model. She made her television debut in 1959 on the popular western series Wagon Train, which was a significant milestone in her career. However, her true passion lay in surfing and traveling the world, and she combined these interests with her newfound career as an underwater female stunt double for Lloyd Bridges on the hit series Sea Hunt and the TV series The Aquanauts. These roles allowed her to travel to idyllic tropical settings and work alongside notable actors and actresses, including Joanne Dru and Mark Stevens in the movie September Storm.
On the set of September Storm, Wagner met and subsequently married Courtney Brown, a fellow stunt diver who doubled for Mark Stevens in the film. Brown coached Wagner in underwater shooting, and the couple had a daughter named Tiffany. They based their lives in the Bahamas, where most of their shooting took place, but eventually divorced after a short time. Wagner then returned to Hollywood, where she won the role of an Apache girl in the movie Rio Conchos, starring alongside Richard Boone, Anthony Franciosa, and Stuart Whitman.
Wagner's career continued to flourish in the 1960s, with roles in a few movies and a part in the TV adventure series The Green Hornet. However, she eventually dropped out of sight, with little being heard from her until reports of her death from cancer in the year 1997.
