William Baldwin has established himself as a talented actor, producer, and writer, showcasing his versatility in the film and television industries.
Baldwin is set to star in several high-profile projects, with his recent work including a recurring role in Nicolas Winding Refn's upcoming Amazon series "Too Old to Die Young" opposite Miles Teller.
He is about to begin production in Canada for the new Netflix/CBC family drama "Northern Rescue" opposite Kathleen Robertson, where he will star and executive produce. The show follows John West (Baldwin),a father who moves his family to his small hometown to take command of the local search-and-rescue service, and the family's struggles to adjust to their new surroundings.
Baldwin will also reprise his role as Brian McCaffrey from the 1991 blockbuster "Backdraft" in the Universal/Netflix sequel "Backdraft 2" alongside Donald Sutherland. He will then join the USA Network/SyFy series "The Purge" (Fall 2018),playing David Ryker, the Managing Partner at an investment firm who harbors a secret during the annual Purge night.
Additionally, Baldwin will appear in the upcoming Netflix series "Insatiable".
Baldwin made his television series debut starring in the hit ABC series "Dirty Sexy Money", opposite Jill Clayburgh, Donald Sutherland, and Peter Krause. He has since appeared on several acclaimed series, including BBC's "Copper", TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland", NBC's "Parenthood" and "30 Rock", CW's "Gossip Girl", and FX's "Wilfred".
Baldwin has starred in over 30 films, including the critical award-winning hit "The Squid & The Whale" and the hit comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". His other notable film credits include "Noise", "Humble Pie", "Relative Values", "One Eyed King", and "Born on the Fourth of July".
As a producer, Baldwin co-produced the independent film "Lymelife" and produced and starred in "Lead with the Heart" and "Second Time Around" for the Hallmark Network.
Born in Massapequa, New York, Baldwin graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Political Science and serves on the boards of several organizations, including KCLU radio, The Massapequa Community Fund, and The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.
Baldwin is married to singer/songwriter Chynna Phillips and they have three children together.
