Born and raised in the picturesque states of Oregon and northern California, I spent my formative years immersed in the rich cultural landscape of the West Coast. My educational journey began at Del Norte High School, situated in the charming town of Crescent City, California, where I honed my skills and developed a passion for the performing arts.
Subsequent to my high school education, I had the privilege of being a part of the esteemed Oregon Shakespearean Festival in Ashland, Oregon, where I not only acted but also directed various productions from 1963 to 1972. This experience not only refined my craft but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the works of the Bard.
My academic pursuits led me to Humboldt State College in Arcata, California, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts in 1967. This milestone marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to the world of drama and the arts.
In 1969, I made the bold decision to relocate to the United Kingdom, where I obtained a diploma in Drama from the prestigious University of Manchester. This new chapter in my life saw me becoming a resident of the UK, where I have since had the privilege of working in a variety of mediums, including stage, voice, television, radio, and film.
