Willow Shields, a talented actress born on June 1, 2000, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, began her career in 2008 with a narration role in the short film Las Vegas New Mexico 1875. This film tells the story of a dying gunfighter who returns home after 10 years to reconcile with his wife and daughter.
Willow's first television appearance was a guest role in the USA series In Plain Sight, which was filmed in her hometown of Albuquerque. She then appeared in an episode of the teen-oriented horror anthology series R.L. Stine's the Haunting Hour in 2010 and had a supporting role in the Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie Beyond the Blackboard in 2011, alongside Emily VanCamp.
Willow's impressive performances in these early roles led to her being cast as Primrose Everdeen, the younger sister of heroine Katniss Everdeen, in The Hunger Games in 2012. She will reprise this role in all the upcoming films adapted from Suzanne Collins' bestselling novels.
