Yayan Ruhian, a renowned martial arts expert, was born on October 19, 1968, in the charming city of Tasikmalaya, West Java. From a young age, he was fascinated by the world of Pencak Silat and other martial arts, which would eventually become his lifelong passion.
As a professional martial arts instructor, Ruhian has dedicated his career to sharing his knowledge and skills with others. He is also an accomplished instructor of an inner breathing technique designed to condition the body to withstand any impact. This unique skillset has allowed him to travel extensively, teaching in various cities and countries around the world.
In 1988, Ruhian began teaching at Perguruan Silat Tenaga Dasar Indonesia (Inner Breathing Technique Silat School in Indonesia),where he honed his skills as an instructor. During his tenure, he regularly traveled to different cities and abroad to share his expertise.
Ruhian's impressive martial arts background has also led him to participate in various international events. He was a member of a demonstration team that performed at the prestigious Festival des Arts Martiaux de Paris Bercy in Paris, France, and also showcased Silek Minang (West Sumatra - Minang-style Silat) at the Institude Judo Paris in France.
In 2008, Ruhian's expertise was sought after by the film industry, as he was hired as one of the choreographers for the movie Merantau. As a specialist in both Silat Harimau and Silat Minang, Ruhian was an invaluable asset to the production team. Additionally, he landed the co-starring role of Eric, which required a unique blend of acting and fighting skills.
