Person Biography:
Yolanthe was born on March 19, 1985, on the Balearic islands of Ibiza, to a Spanish father and a Dutch mother. She moved to the Netherlands at the age of 5 and spent most of her upbringing there.
Career:
Yolanthe started her acting career at the age of 16, starring in the Dutch series "Chromosomen" and "Costa". She then acted in the movie "Snow Fever" in Austria and later played the role of Julia Branca on the Dutch series "Onderweg Naar Morgen" until October 2008.
In 2006 and 2007, Yolanthe appeared in several TV shows, including "URBNN", "Try before you die", and "Crazy 88". She also starred in the film "Turkish Chick" and won the "Televizier Talent Award" in 2008.
Yolanthe played leading roles in several TV shows, including "Twinzz", "Buma Gouden Harpen Gala", "Te leuk om waar te zijn", and "Ei van Columbus". She was also a permanent jury member for AVRO's live shows of the Junior European Song Festival.
In 2009, Yolanthe played the role of Kate Witte in the RTL4 series "Voetbalvrouwen" and appeared in the film "Mega Mindy". She also starred in "Het Stedenspel" and "Mijn vader is de beste" in 2010.
In 2010, Yolanthe played the role of Mila Sol in the series "Flikken Maastricht" and appeared in the National Song Festival. She also starred in "Giro d'Italia" as the "Madrina" and played the role of Mariken van Dalen in an episode of the TV hit series "Van God Los" in 2012.
In 2013, Yolanthe appeared in the movie "Valentino" as Nienke Loos and starred in the Hollywood movie "Pain & Gain" as Analee Calvera. She also played the role of detective Saar Beerman in the Dutch cinema movie "Stuk" in 2014.
In 2015, Yolanthe starred in the TV hit "Bluf" as sophisticated manager Shira Goudsmit and appeared in the Turkish blockbuster hit "Police Academy Alaturka" in 2016. She also played the role of Sacha Sano in "Popoz" and appeared in "Reunited", "Temptation Island", and "Jongens tegen de meisjes" in 2017/2018.
In 2018, Yolanthe did a sketch in the "TV kantine" as Morticia Addams and appeared in theater as Bobbie in "The Christmas show, a Christmas Carol". She is currently filming the detective series "DNA", where she plays the leading role of a tough and uncompromising detective named Lara Noord.
Philanthropy:
Yolanthe is the founder of the foundation "Free A Girl", which aims to prevent child abuse and rescue children who are being abused around the world. The foundation helps children deal with their experiences and offers them a secure future.
Awards and Recognition:
Yolanthe has won several awards, including the "Televizier Talent Award" and BNN's award for best actress. She has also been voted the sexiest Dutch woman three years in a row by readers of the Dutch men's magazine FHM.
Business Ventures:
Yolanthe is the founder of her own clothing and jewelry brand, YC LABEL, and owns a restaurant and boutique on Ibiza called XaXa.
