Here is the biography of Yorgo Constantine:
Yorgo Constantine was born in New York City and grew up in Tribeca. He comes from an artistic family, with his mother being a ballerina and part-time dance choreographer, his sister a singer, songwriter, actress, and artist, and his father an immigrant from Athens, Greece, who studied film and directing at New York University and was a friend and classmate of Martin Scorsese.
Before pursuing a career in acting, Yorgo was a professional tennis player, with a stellar high school record and a spot on Boston University's Division 1 team. However, he eventually chose to focus on acting and enrolled in NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a 4.0 GPA in his first semester.
Yorgo's acting career began with a self-authored monologue about a roast beef sandwich, which earned him a spot in the Tisch School's spring semester. He then studied privately with Elaine Aiken, a member of the Actor's Studio and a protege of Lee Strasberg, and later with Greg Zittel and David Proval.
After completing his studies, Yorgo began teaching tennis at various clubs in New York City to support himself while pursuing his acting career. He eventually decided to seek professional representation and began auditioning, eventually landing a spot with agent Marie Pastor, who was known for her ability to spot real talent.
Yorgo's early success in Hollywood was marked by a string of auditions and meetings with industry professionals, including Fred Roos, Aaron Spelling, and Bill Condon. He eventually booked his first professional acting job in the TV movie "Murder 101" opposite Pierce Brosnan, and earned his SAG card.
Over the past 30+ years, Yorgo has had a successful career in film and television, starring in blockbuster movies like "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Fast Five", as well as respected indie films like "Stand-Up Guys" with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken. He has also appeared in popular TV shows like "Madame Secretary", "24", and "Beverly Hills 90210".
In addition to his acting career, Yorgo is also a writer and is currently starring in the film "Russian Hitman", which he also wrote.
