Zayed Khan's family background is notable, as his parents are Sanjay Khan, a renowned Bollywood actor, and Zarine Khan, a talented interior designer. He is the youngest of four siblings, with three older sisters: Simone Khan, married to Ajay Arora; Sussanne Roshan, married to actor Hrithik Roshan; and Farah Khan Ali, wife of DJ Aqeel. Interestingly, Khan is also related to Fardeen Khan, a fellow Bollywood actor, as their fathers are brothers.
Growing up, Khan attended Welham Boys' School in Dehradun and later Kodaikanal International School in Kodaikanal, where he befriended Esha Deol and Mallaika Parekh. He pursued higher education in Business Management at the University of Washington and Film Making at the London Film Academy.
In his personal life, Khan married Mallaika Parekh on November 20, 2005, and they have two sons: Ziddan, born on January 18, 2008, and Aariz, born on September 22, 2011.
Zayed Khan's acting career began in 2003 with the film Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne, followed by Main Hoon Na, which became one of his biggest hits. He then appeared in Rocky: The Rebel, Dus, Mission Istanbul, and Om Shanti Om, among other films. Khan has also made special appearances in Anjaana Anjaani and Yuvvraaj, and co-starred in Blue.
Known for his preference for multi-starrer films, Khan is currently working on Tezz (2011) alongside Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor. He has also co-founded a production house, Born Free Entertainment, with good friends Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha. Their first film, Love Breakups Zindagi, was released on October 7, 2011.
