On a class trip to a mental hospital, psychology major Abby Jones has a disturbing encounter with a patient, Harmon. Unbeknownst to her roommates, she inadvertently awakens a darkness within him. Later, a storm rolls in and Harmon escapes, leaving a trail of death as he heads towards Abby. Meanwhile, Abby and her roommate Lynn receive a warning from their neighbor, a local cop, about a peeper lurking in the area.
