Robert L. Scott, a lifelong dreamer of becoming a fighter pilot, finds himself piloting transport planes over the treacherous Himalayan route into China during war. He convinces General Chennault to let him join the legendary Flying Tigers, a group of courageous airmen who have been battling the Japanese since before Pearl Harbor. Scott finally gets to engage in combat, facing off against the notorious Japanese pilot Tokyo Joe.
