In 1963, a brutal murder shocks the small town of Haddonfield. Fifteen-year-old Judith Myers is stabbed to death by her six-year-old brother, Michael. After being institutionalized for 15 years, Michael escapes on the eve of Halloween. As the town remains unaware of the impending horror, Dr. Loomis, Michael's psychiatrist, senses that Michael is heading back to Haddonfield, but it may already be too late to save the town from Michael's wrath.
