Vincenzo Cortino, a young man from Sicily, accidentally witnesses something he shouldn't, and to escape, he is smuggled out of town on a donkey. He eventually makes his way to America, where he rises through the ranks of the Mafia. Years later, his son faces a similar situation and must flee, eventually becoming a casino boss in Las Vegas. In response, they send a beautiful woman to distract his son from his casino work, but he must decide whether to fall for her or return to his ex-wife, Diane, who has since become the President of the United States.
