Trish McTavish, a 31-year-old public relations specialist, returns to her hometown of Golden Valley, PA, to investigate a lemonade stand run by 10-year-old Maisie, which is facing an anonymous complaint and potential shutdown. Trish's mission is to convince lawmakers to allow children to operate lemonade stands and uncover the identity of the complainant, believed to be Maisie's elderly neighbor, Hank Wishlow. However, things become complicated when Trish reunites with her high school sweetheart, Evan Payton, Maisie's father, and they start to rekindle their romance. As they work together to save the lemonade stand, they must confront their past and the possibility of Trish leaving again, making their relationship even more complicated.
