Suzy Bannion, a talented young ballet dancer, travels to Germany to hone her skills at the prestigious Tanz dance academy. Upon arrival, she's initially rejected due to a mysterious woman fleeing the school. Returning the next morning, Suzy is finally admitted, only to discover the body of Pat Hingle, the woman she saw fleeing the previous evening. As she settles in, bizarre occurrences plague the school, including Suzy's illness, a maggot infestation, strange noises, and the brutal death of the pianist, Daniel, at the hands of his own dog.
