The Bold Caballero background

The Bold Caballero

In the Spanish colony of California, a tyrannical Commandant rules with an iron fist, but the clever and fearless Zorro's exploits ultimately bring about his downfall.

In this swashbuckling adventure, Don Diego takes up arms to protect the oppressed peasants against the ruthless Commandante. The arrival of the Governor and his daughter Isabella sparks a chain of events when the Governor is brutally murdered and marked with a Z. As Isabella discovers Don Diego's secret identity as Zorro, she orders the Commandante to arrest him, mistakenly believing him to be the killer. Zorro cleverly turns the tables by convincing Isabella that the Commandante is the true culprit, pointing out that the Z was written in reverse.
