The Book of Eli

A post-apocalyptic drifter, Eli, has been wandering for 30 years, finding solace in a rare book he guards closely. He survives by hunting and trading for supplies in destroyed villages. When he reaches a village ruled by a powerful mobster, Carnegie, Eli is offered a place in his gang due to his impressive fighting skills. However, Eli declines advances from Carnegie's lover's daughter, Solara, and refuses to hand over his book, leading Carnegie to send his gang to take it by force.
