The Ice Storm

The idyllic suburban town of New Canaan, Connecticut, harbors a darker truth beneath its façade of perfect middle-class families, where relationships and substance abuse become increasingly entangled.

The Hoods, a family on the brink of collapse, come together for Thanksgiving weekend in 1973. Benjamin's drinking problem and lies are taking a toll on his marriage to Elena, while their children, Paul and Wendy, search for excitement and identity in the city. As an ice storm hits, their problems seem minor, but nothing will remain the same.
