In 1876, the Comanche and Kiowa tribes unite to evict settlers from their lands, putting aside their differences. A US Cavalry troop under Capt. Dave Storm is tasked with evacuating settlers from the Buffalo Valley region. Capt. Storm attempts to negotiate with Comanche Chief Growling Bear and Kiowa Chief Black Eagle, but Black Eagle intends to break the agreement and attack the settlers as they cross Thunder Pass, a route believed to be evil according to an old Indian superstition. The group, including gold prospectors, a widow, and a mysterious trader, must navigate sabotage, rebellion, and pursuing Indians to reach the pass and Fort Terahawk.
