A marketing executive, Murray, takes a shortcut through a Toronto park, only to get into an altercation with a gang of five teenagers. As he tries to escape, he takes refuge in a tree, but the gang finds him. Initially, Murray is at their mercy, but he soon realizes he has leverage and the standoff becomes a test of wills, with both physical and emotional torment on both sides.
