Digby: The Biggest Dog in the World background

Digby: The Biggest Dog in the World

A mysterious substance called Project X causes a man named Digby to undergo a sudden and dramatic transformation, growing into a massive sheepdog.

Digby, an English sheepdog, is given to a young boy named Bill by a vet. However, his grandfather disapproves of the dog and forces Bill to give him away. The dog is then taken in by a man who works at a defense lab that experiments with animals and plants for space travel. A scientist at the lab steals a growth formula to boost his own tomato crop, and Digby accidentally drinks some, causing him to grow rapidly. As he grows to the size of an ocean liner, he is stolen by two men and sold to a circus.
