Garrett O'Hara, a 26-year-old man, is released from prison after serving a two-year sentence for supposed drug dealing. His parents, a politician and a media-conscious individual, have disowned him. Upon his release, Garrett is determined to rebuild his life, but his parents' rejection makes him want to distance himself from his past and start anew. When his teenage brother Noah runs away, possibly following the same destructive path, Garrett's parents are forced to seek help from the son they once abandoned.
