Mike Dooley, a seasoned detective, is paired with his trusty German Shepherd dog Jerry Lee, but as Jerry Lee ages, Dooley's superiors suggest it's time to retire him. However, a vengeful stalker, Devon Lane, seeks Dooley's death after his wife rejected his book. When Jerry Lee can't keep up with chasing Devon, Dooley is paired with a younger K9 team, including detective Welles and her dog Zeus.
