A widowed farmer, Dayal Singh, witnesses the exploitation of farmers by Zamindars in his district. He sends his elder son, Aman, to the city to study law, while his younger son, Jiggar, stays with him to help with farming. Years later, a businessman, Sohan Seth, tries to buy the farm and turn the area into a commercial zone. Aman returns home and joins his family in opposing Sohan, but things take a turn when Jiggar is arrested and Aman is forced to defend him in court.
