A chance encounter with a quirky cable installer sets off a series of hilarious events that threaten to upend a struggling designer's career and reputation.

After a breakup, Steven moves into a new apartment and tries to sweeten the deal with the cable guy, Chip, by giving him a $50 bribe. Chip takes the gift to heart and becomes overly enthusiastic about their budding friendship, much to Steven's dismay. As Steven tries to distance himself from Chip, the cable guy's obsessive behavior escalates into a full-blown vendetta against Steven. Meanwhile, a former child star's murder trial serves as a dark backdrop to the chaos.
