A ruthless leader's reign of terror in a small town is marked by brutal witch hunts, but his niece's unexpected journey into a mysterious cult ultimately leads to a quest for justice and balance.

In 19th century middle-Europe, orphaned teenage twins Maria and Frieda move in with their uncle Gustav Weil, who leads a vigilante group fighting vampirism. However, their methods only lead to chaos and fear among the population. Meanwhile, a more sinister threat emerges in the form of Count Karnstein, and Frieda's affinity for his castle sets her apart from her identical twin sister.
