Fred and Barney Meet The Thing is a Saturday morning animated package show that aired on NBC from September 8, 1979 to December 1, 1979, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. It features two separate segments, The New Fred and Barney Show and The Thing, that do not intersect with each other.
Ben Grimm, the Thing, has undergone a transformation into a gangly teenager after a botched attempt to become human, now seeking a normal life until he can find a way to reverse the change.
