A logging crew in post-Civil War Seattle faces the challenges of their profession, as a group of eligible women arrive in search of love and connection among the rugged loggers.
The Bolt brothers bring in 100 women from Massachusetts to Seattle to maintain their logging crew, securing a loan from sawmill owner Stempel to do so. This is done to ensure they can keep their mountain, as any departures or failure to meet Stempel's timber quotas would result in the Bolts losing their land.
