Bobby's journey in the entertainment industry began in 1964 when he landed the role of the house singer on the hit television program Shindig, a position he held until the show's cancellation in 1966. Following the conclusion of Shindig, Bobby made guest appearances on various television shows, including The Monkees, Honey West, and The FBI, before being cast in his breakout role on Here Come The Brides from 1968 to 1970.
In addition to his work on Here Come The Brides, Bobby also appeared in an episode of The Partridge Family, which served as a pilot for his spin-off series, Getting Together, which premiered in 1971 and ran for 13 episodes. The '80s saw Bobby become a regular on the short-lived television series Sanchez of Bel Air.
Beyond his work in television, Bobby has also made a name for himself as a public servant. He was promoted to the rank of Captain on the Los Angeles Police Department, where he taught CPR and life-saving techniques to incoming academy recruits. For a few years, Bobby was also a member of the TeenIdol Tour, which featured a rotating lineup of performers, including Peter Noone, Davy Jones, and later, Micky Dolenz, who replaced Jones.
In his personal life, Bobby is the proud father of two grown sons, both of whom have followed in their father's footsteps and pursued careers in the music industry.
