Alonso Marroquin, a notorious drug lord, breaks out of prison with his son Lucas and flees to a secluded rehab center on the US-Mexico border. But their refuge is disrupted when a US military experiment gone wrong brings forth mutant zombies near the border. As they're hunted, Mexican SWAT teams become infected and turn into hordes of undead, prompting a US Army operation to wipe out the new threat and save humanity.
