Bringing Out the Dead

A gritty and emotional drama, "Next of Kin" follows a Manhattan medic, Frank, as he navigates his exhaustion and burnout while working graveyard shifts in a two-man ambulance team. Over the course of three nights, Frank partners with different medics, each with their own unique approach to their work. As Frank struggles to come to terms with his own mortality, he forms a bond with the daughter of a heart patient he brings in, Mary, a former junkie trying to find redemption. Despite his best efforts to quit, Frank keeps returning to work and Mary, seeking a rebirth and a chance to redeem himself.
