Arthur Bishop, a retired assassin, tries to live a peaceful life in Rio, but his past comes back to haunt him. Someone from his past tracks him down and demands he complete three jobs in exchange for his freedom. Bishop tries to escape, but his pursuers are relentless. He seeks help from a friend in Thailand, who runs a resort, and becomes embroiled in a local drama when a battered woman, Gina, arrives seeking medical assistance. Bishop helps Gina escape her abusive boyfriend, but soon discovers that she's been sent by his former employer to manipulate him into completing the jobs.
