Max, a high school student, wants to impress Roxanne, a popular classmate, on the last day of school. He decides to stage an impromptu concert at the final assembly, but things go awry when the principal discovers his plan. Meanwhile, Goofy, Max's father, finds out about his son's antics and takes him on a fishing trip to help him overcome his shyness. However, Max has already landed a date with Roxanne for a class party, and he must navigate his feelings while keeping his date a secret from his father.
