I Heart Huckabees

Existentialist detectives Bernard and Vivian Jaffe take on a new case, investigating the mysterious encounters between Albert Markovski, the founder of the Open Spaces Coalition, and a young black man. As they delve deeper, they also uncover Albert's work against suburban sprawl and the efforts of Brad Stand, a Huckabees sales executive, to take control of the coalition. Meanwhile, another client, firefighter Tommy Corn, seeks to understand the meaning behind his wife's lack of understanding and his own epiphany about the world's problems being caused by petroleum. As the cases intertwine, the detectives must navigate the complex relationships between their clients, including Albert's girlfriend Dawn and rival detective Caterine Vauban, to uncover the deeper meaning behind their encounters.
