Hoppy helps capture the Trilling gang, but Trilling breaks them out and steals the Bar 20 herd as revenge. Hoppy retrieves the herd, only to have Trilling, disguised as a Marshal, steal it again and frame the Bar 20 gang for the crime. With the Sheriff's daughter's assistance, Hoppy and his friends set out to catch Trilling once more.
