Gene Autry and Dan Coleman team up to buy supplies in Trail's End to alleviate a severe food and medicine shortage in Sunshine Valley. However, the town's only store owners, Lola Riker and Ross McLain, fail to deliver on their promised goods, leading to tragic consequences. Gene must use his skills and connections to get a shipment through, but not before a young girl's life is lost due to the lack of medicine. This sets the stage for a showdown with McLain.
