A Department of the Interior agent has leased 50,000 acres of range land to a young man named Bronc Masters. However, Bronc soon discovers a warning notice on the land, indicating that the land has been leased to another party. Believing the agent has made a mistake, Bronc grabs a gun and heads to town, but his girlfriend tries to calm him down. Together, they ride out to the range and find a gang of men, led by Spud Henry, rounding up wild horses. The agent produces a forged document, signed by the Secretary of the Interior, claiming the land is open for horse rustling. But the Durango Kid intervenes to stop the gang's nefarious plans.
