Clint Goodman, thought to be dead, returns to his hometown for an old friend's funeral. He meets Laura, his friend's niece, but disappears before she can approach him. Laura's husband Randy, unhappy with his life, has an affair and plans to leave her for his mistress. When Randy learns of Laura's inheritance, he sees it as a chance to escape, but Laura is hesitant. Randy plots to kill Laura, using the same method that nearly killed Clint, but Laura awakens in her coffin and seeks revenge.
