In 1931, two henchmen, Mike Sullivan and Connor Rooney, serve an elderly mobster, John Rooney, Connor's father. Mike is treated like a son by John, who raised him after his parents' death. However, Connor sees himself as the heir to the family business. After a violent incident, Mike's son witnesses Connor and his father killing an associate, and is sworn to secrecy. Connor then tries to kill Mike's family, forcing them to flee. Mike must protect his family and exact revenge on Connor while also dealing with John's loyalty to his own flesh and blood.
