During World War II, a Vatican official, Fr. Hugh O'Flaherty, secretly harbored downed pilots, escaped prisoners of war, and Italian Resistance members. Due to his diplomatic status in a Catholic country, the Nazis couldn't openly capture him, but their efforts to eliminate him intensified as his activities grew. O'Flaherty continued his work, using various disguises to evade detection, based on a true story.
