In 1903, Charles Whitley, an inventor, proposes to his fiancée Eliza, but she feels neglected by his focus on his work. Charles gifts her an antique clock that supposedly helps find true love, and after passing out, he wakes up in a 2020 mansion filled with people who look like those he knows.
