Easy-going trucker Philo Beddoe, a skilled fighter, travels the San Fernando Valley with his friends Orville and Clyde the orangutan, seeking cold beer, country music, and the occasional fight. However, his carefree lifestyle is disrupted when he falls for country singer Lynn Halsey-Taylor, who leaves him when he becomes too serious. Phil, Clyde, and Orville embark on a pursuit of Lynn, encountering bikers along the way.
