In occupied Denmark, a pair of skilled assassins, Flame and Citron, carry out missions for their resistance leader, Winther, who coordinates with Allied leaders. Their targets initially are fellow Danes, but orders soon shift to killing Germans. As they navigate the treacherous landscape, Flame begins to question Winther's motives and struggles with his growing feelings for a mysterious woman, Kitty, who may be a double agent. With a traitor lurking among them, Flame and Citron must complete their final mission, evade capture, and survive the war, all while grappling with the true nature of their heroism.
