In this sequel, the characters remain the same, with Al struggling to find employment, Jane pursuing show business ambitions with her boyfriend Steve, and Steve and Seymour still partners. Al secures a TV singing gig for Steve, which catches the eye of a Hollywood producer. The producer signs Steve to a movie contract, and the group heads to Hollywood. However, the producer is revealed to be an escaped lunatic, and they find themselves in Las Vegas, where Irma is kidnapped by gangsters who are unhappy with her.
