Woody Allen plays a kosher butcher, Tex, whose life unravels when he catches his unfaithful wife, Sharon Stone, in the act. In a fit of rage, Tex kills her and tries to cover up the crime by burying her body in the desert. However, when her hand resurfaces, it becomes a symbol of faith and attracts a frenzy of miracle-seekers, TV crews, and locals. Meanwhile, Tex struggles to recover the hand before the sheriff finds it and uses it as evidence against him.
