Monsters, Inc. is set in Monstropolis, a city inhabited by monsters where the main power company is responsible for generating electricity. The story revolves around Sulley, a confident and tough blue monster, and his best friend Mike, a short, green cyclops monster, who discover that the human world and their own are connected when a 3-year-old girl named Boo accidentally enters their world. Sulley and Mike must work together to return Boo to her own world before anyone finds out, while also evading two villains: Randall, Sulley's rival scarer, and Mr. Waternoose, their boss.
