Roman centurion Marcian, captured by Attila the Hun, escapes and arrives in Constantinople to find the eastern Roman emperor plotting with Attila to allow him to march on Rome. However, Marcian gains the favor of Pulcheria, sister of Theodosius, who supports a united Empire.
