A school in the local area is causing trouble for Hoppy, as the First Bar 20 cattle are stolen during his investigation into a problem there. The arrival of a new teacher further disrupts the routine of the Bar 20 hands, and later, the rustlers prepare to strike again at the hands' graduation. However, divisions among the rustlers ultimately lead to the opportunity Hoppy needs to take action.
